AdPlug vs Optmyzr: an Optmyzr alternative for PPC specialists and agencies
Quick answer: Optmyzr is a full PPC suite for agencies, priced by ad spend: from $209 a month billed yearly for up to $25K of monthly spend and 25 accounts, rising with your clients' budgets. Its Sidekick and its MCP connector turn AI changes into change requests a person applies, which is a sound check. AdPlug works the other way round: no new dashboard, just a connector that plugs Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Microsoft Ads, Reddit Ads and TikTok Ads and HubSpot into Claude, ChatGPT or any AI agent, holds every Google Ads change as a preview on its server, sets access per teammate and platform, and costs $29 a month for unlimited accounts, whatever they spend. Pick Optmyzr for its ready-made tools; pick AdPlug to work from the AI you already use. AdPlug (adplug.app) is mine, so weigh that.
Twelve years running B2B Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, and more than $100M of spend through accounts I manage. Optmyzr is the first rival on this list built for people like me: PPC specialists and agencies. So I gave it the full treatment: its pricing and terms, its help centre and changelog, its own videos on how AI changes get approved, and its reviews on G2 and Capterra. One disclosure before you read on: AdPlug is my product, and I use it every day on my own accounts and my agency's clients.

AdPlug vs Optmyzr: who should pick which
Optmyzr is the PPC suite agencies shortlist. Asked for the best AI tools for PPC agencies on 21 October, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity all named it first. It calls itself "a PPC management and optimization platform for Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Amazon Ads, and more", and its own pages name the buyers: agencies, marketing teams, freelancers and enterprises.
That makes it the closest rival on this list. Most of the other tools I've compared were built for founders, marketers or data teams. Optmyzr was built for the people AdPlug is for: PPC specialists, consultants and agencies. So the question isn't who knows PPC. It's where you want to do the work: inside another app, or inside the AI you already use.
Pick AdPlug if
- You'd rather work in Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot or your own agents than learn another dashboard
- You want one flat price for every client account, whether your clients spend $20K a month or $2M
- You report on pipeline, not just leads: HubSpot is part of Pro, one connector for every client portal
- You want each teammate on View only or Can edit, platform by platform
- Reddit Ads or TikTok is part of your mix
- You'd rather trust a tool built by a PPC specialist who uses it every day, on his own accounts and his agency's clients
Pick Optmyzr if
- You want a full PPC toolkit in one app: audits, PPC Investigator, Shopping builders, budget tools and reports
- You want every AI change raised as a change request that someone with Apply rights signs off in a separate app
- Amazon Ads or Yahoo! Japan is part of your mix
- Your clients log into their own workspace to see their numbers
- You don't mind a bill that grows with your clients' budgets: $314 a month at $150K of spend, billed yearly, when $29 covers every account (it's your money)
The real difference: another dashboard, or the AI you already use
Optmyzr is an app you log into. Its homepage promises "Worry-free account management for the AI and automation era of PPC.", and the AI part is Sidekick, an assistant that lives inside Optmyzr. Since 14 April 2026, an MCP connector lets Claude, ChatGPT and other AI tools reach Sidekick and your Optmyzr data too, and it's on every plan, by its own comparison table.

Read the connector's own help pages and you can see what it is: a window onto Optmyzr. It reads Google Ads deeply ("Full GAQL access, so nothing is off-limits."), but "For reporting, data travels one way: from Optmyzr to your AI client.", and the work is metered on Optmyzr's side: "usage shows up as Optmyzr token consumption rather than Claude token consumption." Agencies with more than one Optmyzr login hit a wall too: "Claude and ChatGPT only allow one connector per unique MCP server URL, so by default you can't add a second Optmyzr OAuth connector for a different account."
AdPlug has no app to learn. It's the connector and nothing else, so the AI does the analysis, the report and the follow-up in the chat you already had open. Ask it what moved and why, the way you'd ask a sharp analyst:
Cost per lead on Acme jumped last week. What changed in the account, who changed it, and what moved after?
google_ads_queryChange history · Acme Software · last 14 days
| Date | Change | Who |
|---|---|---|
| 14 Oct | Search · Generic: target CPA from $80 to $60 | Sam (your team) |
| 16 Oct | Search · Generic: final URL from /demo to /pricing on 4 ads | Alex (your team) |
| 20 Oct | Search · Brand: daily budget from $150 to $120 | Sam (your team) |
Tracking first: the demo request action recorded normally all week, so the jump is real. The target CPA cut on 14 Oct explains fewer leads, not dearer ones: Generic's impressions fell 31% after it. The cost per lead jump started on 16 Oct, when four Generic ads moved from /demo to /pricing. Their click-through rate held, but conversion rate fell from 6.1% to 2.4%, so cost per lead went from $58 to $139. Brand wasn't limited by budget after the cut. I'd point those four ads back at /demo. Want the preview?
To be fair to Optmyzr, its PPC Investigator does this kind of root-cause work inside its own app. If your team already lives in Optmyzr's dashboards, the connector is a handy extra that costs nothing more. If you'd rather not have a second place to work, that's AdPlug's whole design.
Change requests and previews: what checks an AI change
This is where Optmyzr has done careful work, and I'd rather credit it properly than skim past it. Its changelog shows how it got here:
| Date | What changed |
|---|---|
| 14 Apr 2026 | The MCP connector: Sidekick and Optmyzr data in Claude and other AI tools |
| 22 Jul 2026 | LinkedIn Ads data through the connector |
| 27 Jul 2026 | The first changes: positive and negative keywords, each shown in a preview card before it applies |
| 28 Sep 2026 | Change requests for everything else: “Nothing goes live until you confirm, and every request is recorded under Change Reviews in Optmyzr.” |
| 1 Oct 2026 | Google Gemini, through its Spark agent on Google AI Pro or Ultra |
How Optmyzr holds a change
In its help centre's words: "Changes you make through MCP aren't applied to your account straight away. They're staged on the" Change Requests page, "checked against your account's policy guardrails, and applied by someone on your team." The final click happens in Optmyzr's interface, not the AI's: the tool applies a change "once the user clicks Apply (triggered by the UI, not the assistant)." Raising a change and applying it are separate permissions, so a junior can draft and a senior can sign off. The full guide is in its change requests documentation.
That's a real hold. Four things to know before you lean on it:
- You can approve your own. The guide says the in-chat flow is "especially useful if you manage an account alone and review your own changes." Fine, but then the second pair of eyes is yours.
- Guardrails warn, they don't block, and only on Premium and Enterprise: "a change that violates one is flagged and needs explicit approval to proceed, but isn't blocked outright."
- Removals are final. "'Remove' actions can't be rolled back."
- Automations are a different path. The homepage says "No changes without your approval, ever", and for the AI that holds. But the Rule Engine lets you "preview, approve, or fully automate suggested actions", and once you switch a rule on it runs on its schedule without asking. Script changes don't show in its optimisation history at all.
How AdPlug holds a change
AdPlug keeps the check in the chat. On Google Ads, every change takes two tool calls, and the server refuses the second without the first. The preview tool checks the change and stores it under an ID, exactly as it will run; the execute tool runs that stored change, once, within 15 minutes, and nothing else. There are no modes and no setting that skips it. Here's a job every PPC specialist knows, the default settings Google switches on when a campaign is created:
Which campaigns have search partners, Display expansion or 'Presence or interest' locations switched on, and are they paying their way? Show me the preview before you fix anything.
google_ads_preview_mutationPreview · Acme Software · 3 changes
| Setting | Campaign | Now | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search partners | Search · Generic | On | Off |
| Locations | Search · Generic | Presence or interest | Presence |
| Display expansion | Search · Competitors | On | Off |
Three settings aren't paying their way. Search partners on Generic spent $3,720 in the last 90 days at $310 a conversion, against $96 on Google search, though 12 conversions is still a small sample. 14% of Generic's clicks came from people outside your target countries: $1,050 for one conversion. Display expansion on Competitors spent $680 with none. Brand's search partners convert at $41, so I've left those on. Nothing changes until you say so.
Do it.
google_ads_execute_mutationDone. Generic runs on Google search only and reaches people in your target countries, Competitors is off the Display Network, and Google Ads' change history shows all three.
To be straight with you: for a team, Optmyzr's change request is the stronger hold. A person has to open another page and click Apply, and you can keep the Apply right to your seniors. AdPlug's yes lives in the chat, and AdPlug doesn't check that a human typed it, so if you set your AI's change tools to Always allow, AdPlug can't stop that either. What it does force is the stored preview, on every Google Ads, HubSpot and Search Console change, on every plan. On Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads there's a preview tool too, but the server doesn't force it yet, so ask for it in your prompt, the way this one does:
Compare Microsoft Ads with Google Ads for the same campaigns: what's missing or different on Microsoft (keywords, negatives, ads, settings), and where does it convert more cheaply? Preview what you'd copy across.
Optmyzr pricing
Optmyzr prices by ad spend: the more your clients spend, the more you pay. Its pricing page leads with "The complete PPC toolkit, starting at $209 a month", and that's the yearly price for up to $25K of monthly spend. Checked on its pricing page, in US dollars, on 28 Oct 2026:
| Monthly ad spend | Essentials (up to 25 accounts) | Premium (unlimited accounts, within fair use) |
|---|---|---|
| Up to $25K | $209 yearly, $299 monthly | $272 yearly, $389 monthly |
| Up to $50K | $244 yearly, $349 monthly | $318 yearly, $454 monthly |
| Up to $75K | $279 yearly, $399 monthly | $363 yearly, $519 monthly |
| Up to $150K | $314 yearly, $449 monthly | $409 yearly, $584 monthly |
| Up to $250K | $419 yearly, $599 monthly | $419 yearly, $599 monthly |
| Up to $350K | $545 yearly, $779 monthly | $545 yearly, $779 monthly |
| Up to $500K | $671 yearly, $959 monthly | $629 yearly, $899 monthly |
| Over $500K | Enterprise, priced on request | Enterprise, priced on request |
Since 1 June 2026, Meta and LinkedIn spend counts too: "Starting 1 June 2026, your ad spend on these platforms will count towards your total Optmyzr ad spend for billing purposes." Go over your band and you pay overage on every extra $1,000 of spend ($3.50 per $1K on the $25K band), and there's a ratchet: "If your spend exceeds the limit for two consecutive months and the overage charges are higher than the cost of upgrading, we may automatically move you to the next plan." Essentials stops at 25 accounts, then $5 a month each, and a separate client workspace is $129 a month on Premium.
Here's what an agency with 20 client accounts pays, at list prices:
| Your clients' combined monthly spend | Optmyzr | AdPlug |
|---|---|---|
| $50K | $244 on Essentials, billed yearly ($349 monthly) | $29 on Pro, or $89 on Max with three team members |
| $150K | $314 on Essentials, billed yearly ($449 monthly) | Same as above |
| $400K | $629 on Premium, billed yearly ($899 monthly) | Same as above |
| Plus a login for each client to see their own numbers | $129 a month per workspace, on Premium | Not offered |
One reviewer on Reddit put the trade-off well: "For me personally, I like the audit and insights features of Optmyzr, but pricing only makes sense if client billings can support the investment".
The price history is steadier than most. In June 2024 there was one plan from $208 a month billed yearly, with a $10K spend band at $249 month to month. By June 2025 that band was gone and today's Essentials and Premium prices were set; they haven't moved since. Meta and LinkedIn were a separate subscription then, and they now sit in the same plan, counted by spend.
Three things I'd read before signing:
- The yearly price is a contract. The pricing FAQ says plans aren't contract-based, but the billing FAQ adds that discounted annual pricing "has to run for a full year and cannot be canceled early." Its terms renew it automatically unless you give notice 30 days before the end.
- One refund window. A 30-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription, once. After that, no refunds for unused months.
- Downgrades go through support. Switching from yearly to monthly, or to a lower band, isn't self-serve.
AdPlug is $29 a month for every platform and every account, whatever your clients spend, you can cancel anytime, there's a 14-day refund window, and the free plan never asks for a card. To be fair to Optmyzr, its price buys a whole suite of PPC tools AdPlug doesn't have, and Amazon Ads, which AdPlug doesn't connect.
My rating: Optmyzr vs AdPlug
Six things I'd weigh as a PPC specialist, scored out of 10. It's my opinion, built on the facts on this page, and one of these products is mine, so read it with that in mind. Optmyzr wins two rows outright.

If your agency runs on Optmyzr's tools and you want a second person to sign off every AI change, the two rows it wins may be the ones that matter. If you'd rather the AI did the analysis in the chat you already use, at one price, the other four decide it.
Rule Engine and scheduled checks: call it a draw
Optmyzr's Rule Engine runs checks and actions on a schedule: weekly or monthly on Essentials, daily on Premium, hourly on Enterprise. It has cooldowns, so a rule can't keep editing the same budget, and you can preview, approve or fully automate what it suggests. During the free trial a rule runs once but can't be scheduled.
AdPlug doesn't have a rule builder, and it doesn't need one. Claude's scheduled tasks, Grok Bot routines and ChatGPT dots run a check on their own schedule, written as a sentence instead of a set of conditions, and a check like this one only reads. Set it to run before you open your laptop:
Morning check on every client account: yesterday's spend, clicks and conversions against normal, budgets off pace for the month, campaigns that stopped spending or converting, tracking that went quiet, disapproved ads, and ads pointing at pages that 404. Flag only what needs me.
So it's a draw. Optmyzr's rules are tried and tested, and they can act while you sleep if you let them. AdPlug's checks come from a sentence and report back, and the changes wait for you. Pick the style you trust.

What an agency gets from AdPlug on every paid plan
Optmyzr keeps its CRM integration and its per-account access for Enterprise, and it prices every client's budget into your bill. These three are where AdPlug is built differently.
No spend bands
AdPlug works on unlimited ad accounts on every plan, the free one included, and the price doesn't look at what your clients spend. One Google sign-in covers every account under your MCC, and from Pro you can add Google logins for clients under other MCCs: three on Pro, five on Max and Agency. Win a big client in November and your AdPlug bill stays where it was.
Build a client-ready PDF report for each client on last month's Google Ads and Microsoft Ads: a short summary, results against the month before, the insights behind them, and what we change next.
Pipeline, not just leads
Optmyzr's own connector page shows the HubSpot workflow it has in mind: "Claude pulls your deal outcomes from a CRM, like HubSpot, and joins them to search-term-level spend in Optmyzr". That needs a separate HubSpot connector in Claude; Optmyzr's own CRM integration is Enterprise only, on request. AdPlug includes HubSpot from Pro, one connector for every client portal (three on Pro, ten on Max and Agency), so the same chat follows a campaign from the click to the deal, then moves budget towards what makes pipeline, with a preview first.

Access by teammate and by platform
Optmyzr added five role levels in October 2026, and I like the separate right to apply. But "Each member has one access level.", and it covers every account and platform they can see. AdPlug sets View only or Can edit for each teammate on each platform: the junior reads every client and changes none, the senior edits Google Ads and only reads LinkedIn, and AdPlug checks it on every request.

Optmyzr reviews: what PPC people say
I built a rival, so don't take Optmyzr's faults from me. Here's what its users say, read on 28 Oct 2026. The ratings are high, and the recent ones look organic.
| Where | Rating | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| G2 | 4.7 | 142, the ten newest (2026) all marked organic, none incentivised |
| Capterra | 4.7 | 184; 23 of the 25 shown as most helpful are incentivised, most from 2019 to 2021 |
| Trustpilot | No rating | An unclaimed profile with no reviews |
| Product Hunt | No listing | None found |
What users like
Long-time users love it, and they name specific tools rather than a vague feeling. This is the most recent:
“I specifically like the historic tracking of quality score in all my accounts. Google Ads doesn't offer this in its interface. But Optmyzr does.”
“For finding optimisation chances that would normally require a lot of manual labour, the search phrase analysis, keyword mining, traffic sculpting, and account hygiene tools are especially helpful.”
What goes wrong
The complaints are mild, and most of them sit inside five-star reviews. The same senior associate adds that "because Optmyzr offers so many features, it can take some time to become familiar with the platform". A consultant finds "The UI is a bit slow to use", and puts it down to fresh data loading. And one more five-star reviewer, "being incredibly picky":
“the tool is heavily weighted toward Google Ads functionality, meaning there are far fewer advanced capabilities for platforms like Amazon Ads or Microsoft Ads right now.”
On price, a Capterra reviewer in 2024 couldn't think of much wrong "besides it can be quite pricey.", and a 2023 review by a long-time customer is titled "They charged my CC without my permission and doubled prices". One sharp line on spend-based pricing comes from Pace, a rival tool, so weigh it the way you'd weigh this page: "Win a big account in March and your software bill goes up before you've invoiced a cent of the new retainer."
Where Optmyzr is stronger
Credit where it's due. These are real reasons to pick it.
- Change requests with a separate Apply right. A junior raises, a senior applies, in another app, and the request stays on record. For a team, that's a stronger hold than a yes in the chat.
- Ready-made PPC tools. Audits, PPC Investigator, Shopping campaign builders, budget tools and tracked Quality Score history, refined since 2013. AdPlug gives the AI the data; Optmyzr gives you the tools already built.
- Whole campaigns in one request. Its change requests can build a full campaign on Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Amazon Ads and Yahoo! Japan, held for review as one batch.
- Platforms AdPlug doesn't connect. Amazon Ads and Yahoo! Japan. If either is a real part of your spend, that counts.
- Client workspaces. A client can log in and see only their own data. AdPlug has no client logins; you share the AI's report instead.
Optmyzr alternatives, by the job you need done
If you want another PPC suite, look at Opteo or Adalysis. If you want the AI working in your accounts, these are the ones I've compared, and my best AI tools for Google Ads ranks ten, Optmyzr included.
AdPlugMy pick
For PPC specialists, consultants and agencies who want Claude, ChatGPT or their own agents working in every account they run: unlimited accounts at one price whatever they spend, a server-checked preview before every Google Ads change, access per teammate and platform, and HubSpot next to the ad data. Free to read, then Pro at $29 a month.
Pick it if you want the AI doing the account work and you making the calls. See how it works on Google Ads.
Opteo or Adalysis
The other PPC suites. Opteo suits a smaller book of Google accounts with one-click improvements, from $129 a month for ten accounts. Adalysis is strong on ad testing, audits and budget pacing on Google and Microsoft, from $149 a month up to $50K of spend. I've scored both in the best AI tools for Google Ads.
Pick one if you want a PPC suite but Optmyzr feels like more than you need.
Supermetrics
A reporting bridge into Looker Studio, Sheets, Power BI, Claude and ChatGPT, priced per destination, which can now change campaigns in early access. I've compared it in AdPlug vs Supermetrics.
Pick it if your clients' reports live in Looker Studio.
Windsor.ai
A data pipeline from over 350 sources into BI tools, warehouses and AI chats, from $23 a month, with basic campaign changes since May 2026. I've compared it in AdPlug vs Windsor.ai.
Pick it if you need ad data in a warehouse.
Composio
An integration layer for developers building AI agents, with toolkits for over 1,500 apps, Google Ads among them, and a no-code version for Claude and ChatGPT. I've compared it in AdPlug vs Composio.
Pick it if you're building your own agent across many apps.
Pipeboard
A hosted MCP server that started on Meta, with a fee for every ad account: three on Pro at $29.90 a month, then $10 each. I've compared it in AdPlug vs Pipeboard.
Pick it if Snapchat or Pinterest is part of your mix and you run a handful of accounts.
Markifact
A no-code marketing automation suite with workflows, agents and an MCP across 14 ad platforms, charged in credits from $79 a month. I've compared it in AdPlug vs Markifact.
Pick it if you'd rather build automations on a visual canvas than in a chat.
AdKit
An ads toolbox for founders, with a competitor ad library, AI-made static ads and an MCP server, from $49 a month for one ad account per platform. I've compared it in AdPlug vs AdKit.
Pick it if competitor research and creative matter more to you than account depth.
Adspirer
A hosted connector for six ad platforms including Amazon and ChatGPT Ads, charged by the tool call. I've compared it in AdPlug vs Adspirer.
Pick it if you want Amazon Ads in a chat rather than a suite.
Ryze AI
An autonomous agent that runs your ads, from $89 a month. I've compared it in AdPlug vs Ryze AI.
Pick it if you want to hand the account over rather than approve each change.
Switching from Optmyzr to AdPlug, or running both
The setup takes about ten minutes. Check the billing first.
- Find out how you pay. Monthly cancels anytime. The yearly price runs for 12 months and renews unless you give notice 30 days before the end, and moving from yearly to monthly goes through support.
- Export the reports and optimisation history you want to keep. Optmyzr's terms let it delete your data 30 days after the subscription ends.
- Switch off scheduled Rule Engine and budget automations, so nothing changes while you move, and remove its connector from Claude or ChatGPT.
- Sign up for AdPlug and connect your ad platforms through each one's own sign-in screen. Every account behind that login comes with it, manager accounts included.
- Add AdPlug's address to your AI as a custom connector. The guides walk through it with screenshots for Claude, Grok Bot and ChatGPT dots.
- Ask for last month's spend by campaign and check it against the platform. Once the numbers match, move on to the real work.
Running both works too. Keep Optmyzr for its tools and rules, and do the AI work through AdPlug. Just pick one place for AI changes, so two assistants aren't editing the same campaign.
Stay with Optmyzr if
- Your team relies on its Shopping builders, PPC Investigator or Quality Score history every week.
- Amazon Ads or Yahoo! Japan is a real part of your spend.
- You want a second person to apply every AI change, in a separate app.
- Your clients log into their own Optmyzr workspaces and like it.
P.S. Optmyzr's own video calls the change request "the human in the loop". I agree, which is an odd thing to put on a comparison page. The only question is where you'd rather that human sat: in another app, or in the chat you already have open.
