About

Built by the person who runs the audits.

AdPlug is not a platform built by engineers guessing what marketers need. It is a tool built by a PPC veteran for his own Monday checklist, opened up for everyone else who has one.

The story

I have spent more than a decade inside Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, managing over $100M in ad spend for clients through my consultancy. Which means I have spent more than a decade doing the same Monday ritual as every PPC specialist: exports, pivot tables, pacing checks, search-term cleanups, and the report nobody enjoys assembling.

When AI assistants got good, I did what most of us did: pasted CSVs into a chat window and got mediocre answers from stale data. The models were smart; the connection was the problem. So I built myself a bridge, a server that let Claude read my accounts live and stage changes I could approve. First for Google Ads, then for LinkedIn Ads, because my B2B clients live there and no tool on the market touched it.

My own workweek changed enough that keeping it private felt wasteful. AdPlug is that internal tool, productized: hosted, secured, and opinionated in the ways that matter when real budgets are on the line. Read-only by default. A preview before every write. An audit log for every call. The safeguards are not enterprise theater; they are what I needed before pointing an AI at accounts I am personally accountable for.

I still run client accounts every week, and every feature ships to my own workflow first. If something in AdPlug feels unusually practical, that is why. If something is missing, tell me: support@adplug.app lands in my inbox, not a ticket queue.

And personally?

Remember the lockdown tennis boom? I caught the bug and never recovered. The ambition is Wimbledon Centre Court, obviously. The current reality is a backhand that needs, let's say, significant development. It's a work in progress.

I do have a solid early-retirement plan though: coach my kid into becoming a tennis pro, appoint myself mastermind head coach, and rake in the millions from the sidelines. Seems foolproof.

If you want to talk PPC, MCP, or backhand grips, my LinkedIn DMs are open.

What AdPlug believes

Practitioner-built beats platform-built

Every tool maps to a job a working specialist actually does weekly: search-term audits, pacing checks, CPL diagnostics, negative cleanups. Nothing ships that I would not run on my own clients.

Safety before magic

Read-only by default, write access is a choice, and every mutation shows you the exact change before it runs. An AI that can touch budgets must earn that trust structurally, not rhetorically.

Your data answers your questions

Ad account data is never used to train models, never shared with providers for training, and never retained beyond what makes the connection work. Tokens are encrypted; revocation is instant.

Depth on two platforms

Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, done properly, including the LinkedIn write access almost nobody else offers. Better two platforms a specialist can rely on than six they cannot.

What AdPlug is, in one paragraph

AdPlug is a hosted MCP server that connects Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads to Claude, ChatGPT, and any AI tool that speaks the Model Context Protocol. Connect once, then audit, report, and stage previewed changes from the chat you already work in. Setup takes five minutes with the connection guide, the playbooks show what to run first, and the resources go deeper on the how and why.

Common questions

Who built AdPlug?

Daniel Popa, a performance marketer with 10+ years in PPC and $100M+ in managed ad spend. He runs a small consultancy managing Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads accounts, and built AdPlug to run his own weekly audits, reports, and optimizations through Claude. The public product is the same tool he uses on real client spend every day.

Is AdPlug a real company or a side project?

An independent, founder-run product that operates on real client accounts daily. It is deliberately small: no sales team, no outsourced support. The person answering support email is the person who wrote the code and runs the audits.

Is it safe to give AdPlug access to my ad accounts?

AdPlug connects through OAuth (never passwords), stores tokens encrypted, ships read-only by default, gates every write behind a preview you confirm, logs every tool call, and lets you revoke access instantly. The safety checklist article explains the whole trust model in plain language.

How is AdPlug different from other AI-for-ads tools?

Two things. It is built for depth on two platforms rather than shallow coverage of many: Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, including LinkedIn write access almost no other tool offers. And it can actually execute work, not just analyze it, with a preview step before every change.

How do I get in touch?

Email support@adplug.app and you will get a reply from Daniel, usually the same business day. For product updates and PPC workflow content, follow him on LinkedIn.
