Paid vs organic overlap

Google Ads spend on queries you already rank top 3 for, converting paid terms with no page-one organic result, and organic winners with no paid coverage.

The prompt
Compare my Google Ads search terms with my organic Search Console data to find where paid and organic overlap.

This needs Google Ads and Google Search Console connected to AdPlug, with both connectors in this chat. The Search Console connector is separate from the all-platforms AdPlug one, so if either is missing, tell me which connector to add. List my Google Ads accounts and my Search Console properties, and ask me to pair the account with its site if that isn't obvious. Ask me for the window (suggest one long enough for the account's spend) and my brand terms.

Run the paid_vs_organic analysis for that property and Google Ads account, and show:
1. Google Ads spend on queries the site already ranks top 3 for organically, branded and non-branded, with each query's organic position and CTR next to its paid cost and conversions.
2. Paid terms that convert where the site has no page-one organic result: a content roadmap.
3. Organic winners with no paid coverage.
4. The top ad landing pages by cost, checked live, with any that are broken.
For the biggest overlap terms, use the Google Ads search terms report to show which campaigns and ad groups pay for them.

Don't tell me to pause everything that ranks: a top organic position doesn't make every paid click wasted. Instead, design a holdout test for the largest overlaps: which terms, which regions or hours to pause, for how long, and what result would justify keeping the cut. This is read-only; nothing changes in either account.

Why this works

Every PPC manager gets asked whether they're paying for clicks the site would get anyway. This answers it with your own search terms and Search Console data, and plans a holdout test instead of a blanket pause, because a top organic rank doesn't make every paid click wasted.
