Weekly Search Console performance recap
Last 7 days vs. the previous 7: clicks, CTR and position, branded vs. non-branded, every page and query that moved, and any Google update in the window.
Generate a weekly organic search recap from Search Console covering the last 7 days vs. the previous 7 days. List my Search Console properties first and ask which one to recap if I have more than one, and ask me for my brand terms rather than guessing them. Use the overview analysis and include: clicks, impressions, CTR and average position with their deltas (report the property totals as the site's numbers; they include the anonymized queries the query rows leave out), branded vs. non-branded clicks from brand_split, every page and query that gained or lost a meaningful number of clicks, sorted by impact (the performance report with a comparison gives the full lists), the new and lost queries worth a mention (new_lost_queries), Discover and Google News if the site gets traffic there, and any Google ranking update that overlaps the week. For each negative mover, give the likely cause from declining_pages and declining_queries (lost rankings, lower CTR at the same rank, less demand, or dropped out). The week ends on the last day Google has finished counting; if I want the latest days too, pull them from the performance report with fresh data and label them as partial. Format as a concise stakeholder-ready briefing.
Why this works
The same paste-ready briefing as the Google and Microsoft recaps, for organic search. It stops at the last day Google has finished counting, so the days still filling in don't show up as a fake drop.
